“Oh, then yes. I would love some.” Drew looked at him, so serious. “Is it over? Is the badness over?”

“I think so, yes. At least for us.” He hugged Drew hard. He knew for some of the wolves it was still going on.

“I want to be here with you forever. In the snow. In the woods.”

“In the snow. In the woods. Yes, mate. I vow it.”

Drew nuzzled into his throat. Home.

  Yes, mate. Home.

  Epilogue

Tanner caught sight of his Adam being loaded in a panel truck, thrown in with a dozen skinny, broken men.

From the Brotherhood’s height of two hundred wolves, they’d fallen to less than thirty, and they were all about to break.

He was strong, ready to make his move, but Adam looked… broken.

  Surely not.

  Surely he was pretending.

He stepped closer, unavoidably drawn to his mate.

A guard hit him with the butt of a rifle, the hard stock colliding with his shoulder when he ducked to one side.

He was supposed to wait. He was supposed to see where they were moving the compound, but a third of all of them were in the truck…

The guard moved to hit him again, and Tanner grabbed the rifle, clocking the bastard under the chin. Enough.

He couldn’t wait a moment longer. His mate was hurting and about to be taken off.

He sprinted for the truck, sliding inside and starting it up. Adam! It’s me!

  Tan-Tanner?

Yes, mate. Hold on tight. We’re out of here.

He didn’t even think. He just floored the truck and hit the gates going ninety to nothing.

  It was time to go.

  BA Tortuga

Texan to the bone and an unrepentant Daddy’s Girl, BA Tortuga spends her days with her basset hounds and her beloved wife, texting her sisters, and eating Mexican food. When she’s not doing that, she’s writing. She spends her days off watching rodeo, knitting and surfing Pinterest in the name of research. BA’s personal saviors include her wife, Julia Talbot, her best friend, Sean Michael, and coffee. Lots of coffee. Really good coffee.

Having written everything from fist-fighting rednecks to hard-core cowboys to werewolves, BA does her damnedest to tell the stories of her heart, which was raised in Northeast Texas, but has heard the call of the high desert and lives in the Sandias. With books ranging from hard-hitting GLBT romance, to fiery ménages, to the most traditional of love stories, BA refuses to be pigeonholed by anyone but the voices in her head.
